Garanti Bank, one of the most dynamic and innovative banks on the local market and Vola.ro, the number one online tourism agency in Romania, have signed an agreement through which travellers can pay 24/7 for the plane ticketsthey purchased via Vola.ro, at any of the bank’s smart ATMs, said the bank in a statement.

Vola.ro clients are now being offered the possibility of paying with cash at any Garanti Bank ATM, without being necessarily a bank customer. This goes for any Vola.ro product – flight ticket, city break, insurance, etc. – no matter if the reservation was made online or usingVola Call Center. Also, Garanti Bank customers can use their credit or debit cards for the same purposes.

The payment at ATMs implies three simple steps:

1. Access the dedicated menu for invoice payments
2. Introduce the proforma invoice issued by Vola.ro
3. Deposit the amount and request thereceipt containing the transaction details

One of the main goals of this partnership is to offer Vola.ro clients another convenient payment option, additional to the onlinecard payment solution. This way, using Garanti Bank smart ATMs, they are able to easily and rapidly pay the products from Vola.ro, at any time, without using a card and with no extra costs”, stated Anca Motcă, Deputy General Manager, Garanti Bank Romania.

We wanted to offer Vola.ro clients convenient and reliable ways to make the purchasing process more easy. With our partnership with Garanti Bank, we mostly targeted people that still hesitate to make online payments and we hope to increase our market share of offline customers”, stated Manuela Melinescu, Marketing Manager Vola.ro.

Any of the products issued by Vola.ro can also be paid, based on proforma invoice,at any of the Garanti Bank’s 80 branches nationwide, through the bank’s internet banking service, Garanti Online, using their credit / debit cards issued by Garanti Bank.

The bank has the widest network of smart ATMs in the country (BancoSmart), almost 300, that can be used by anyone, not just the bank’s customers, for transactions with cash or cards. Out of the clients that operate invoice payments through Garanti Bank alternative delivery channels, more than 50% choose cash payments at the bank’s ATMs.

Vola.ro customers are between the ages 25 and 45, they live in urban areas and have middle and high incomes. Popular travel destinations for few days trips are the most important European cities such as Rome, Venice, Prague, Barcelona, Paris or London.
