For the first time on the Romanian market, Millennium Bank provides a current account that does not require any visit to the bank. e-Account package is free of charge and consists of a current account in RON, Visa Electron debit card, Internet Banking and Call Center services, said the bank in a press release.

The e-Account opening process only requires filling in an online application form. All the necessary communication between the bank and the clients is made by phone and by courier.

Clients receive, at an address of their choice, the contract they need to sign, together with all the necessary information on the package. After signing the documents, clients give them back to the courier to be delivered to the bank. All these steps do not imply any costs for the customers.

“Millennium Bank has been an innovative player on the local market, in line with Millennium bcp group’s strategy across all its geographies. Following our strategy, we launched a fully integrated direct banking channel that fits perfectly dynamic customers’ needs. We will thus explore a niche market with great potential and a distribution channel that is virtually limitless”, Nuno Alves, Executive Director with Millennium Bank, stated. “e-Account is a first step in this direction and we are also preparing some additional features that meet this client segment needs, to be launched soon”, Nuno Alves added.

Besides being convenient and flexible, e-Account opening is free. The account’s benefits also include zero administration fee for the RON current account and for cash withdrawals at Millennium Bank ATMs, zero administration fee for the card in the first year of usage, free access and administration for Internet Banking and Call Center services.

Also, the bank does not charge any commission for interbank RON payments via Internet Banking or Call Center, customers only having to pay the fee charged by TransFond.
