Romania’s Fin Min Plans RON1B State Treasuries Sale In May

Romania’s Economy and Finance Ministry plans to sell state treasuries worth a total of 1 billion lei ($426 million) in May, of which RON700 million as benchmark bonds and RON300 million as T-Bills.

It plans to sell benchmark bonds in two auctions of three and five years, at yields of 8% and 8.25%, respectively. The T-Bills will have six-months and one-year maturities, the Ministry said.
So far this year, the Finance Ministry has sold RON3.18 billion worth of bonds and T-Bills in 15 auctions.

The Ministry plans to sell state treasuries worth RON3 billion in the second quarter and said it may borrow up to RON11 billion from the local market and at least EUR500 million from international markets through Eurobond issues.
